The VON KÖCK Timeline

Foundation

The company was founded in 1979 by Reinhard Köck, who rose from a simple worker to become a close confidant of the managing director of one of Austria's largest watch importers. Inspired by this success, he founded his own jewelry store in Tulln, Lower Austria, which marked the beginning of the Von Köck success story.

1979

Neubaugasse location

After great success in Lower Austria, VON KÖCK ventured into the capital in 1987. The first store in Vienna was located in the lively Neubaugasse in Vienna's 7th district.

1987

Trench location

In 1994, VON KÖCK reached a significant milestone when the company moved to the prestigious Graben address in the heart of Vienna. This strategic decision consolidated our position at the time and has enabled us to further strengthen our brand and expand our presence in one of the most prestigious shopping streets in Europe.

Training Felix

In 2016, Felix Köck successfully completed the GIA gemologist and jeweler training in Carlsbad, California, which was an important step in his professional career and enabled him to fit seamlessly into the family business. Since then, his qualifications and experience have contributed significantly to the development and success of the company.

Generational handover

Felix Köck took over the business from his father Reinhard Köck in 2022 and has been successfully running the company in the second generation ever since. In the same year, Nattaya Englinger also joined the management team, representing an important addition to the management team. Together, they bring fresh impetus and strengthen the vision of the family business while the next generation is already growing up.

Studio

In September 2023, we doubled the size of our goldsmith's shop in Vienna and increased its importance within our company. As a result, we can now not only produce pieces of jewelry directly in Vienna, but also realize tailor-made individual pieces according to our customers' wishes.

Store opening

In October 2023, we reached a significant milestone with the opening of our new store. After seven months of intensive remodeling in 2023, this is a decisive step for our future. The new store not only represents our progress and commitment to growth, but also our long-term commitment to our customers. We offer an appealing and inviting environment that promises a unique shopping experience.

We are celebrating our first year in our new store and are proud to look back on a successful time. Several awards confirm our commitment and vision. Each diamond has unique characteristics, the so-called 4 Cs: Cut, Clarity, Color and Carat Weight. These factors play a central role in determining the individual value of a diamond.

A GIA certificate is issued by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the world's leading independent laboratory for the evaluation of diamonds. It documents the quality and characteristics of a gemstone after a thorough analysis and evaluation. If the diamond you choose has a GIA certificate, this will accompany your purchase in physical form. In addition, almost all diamonds are laser engraved with the GIA certificate number.

From mining the rough diamond to cutting, polishing and setting, every step is carried out with the utmost precision and passion.
